Garden Update!

Things are really growing in my garden.  Since last I showed you, I've harvested my potatoes.  I got this many:
Which is really very good.  My big tomato plant has become so laden with fruit that it's being pulled down the stake:
And as you can see, they're lovely big tomatoes (these ones are barely half grown, if that), and the plants had a great start being surprise compost tomatoes:
As for the surprise compost tomatoes that sprouted with my lettuces, I've transplanted the two survivors into their own tub together:
All but one of my baby lettuce were eaten by a caterpillar (you can see the remaining one at the edge of the tub in the picture below) but new lettuce have sprouted, which you will also see:
The tiny surprise radish plant has gotten quite big.  I will need to transplant it and soon, as it's in the tub with the big tomato plants and tomatoes tend to "eat" other plants for nutrients.
Happy gardening!

Lots of love to you,
Cassandra Louise.

  1. I like those tubs you've planted into, I've seen them here in the cheap as chips shops, have you put drainage holes into them or are they doing okay without? Because this is an idea I could use.

    1. I put holes in them with a steak knife, some in the bottom and a few randomly placed down the sides. :-)

  2. I have never had the opportunity to garden but it has been something that I would like to do sometime, I think it is pretty great to grow your own veggies and then enjoy them :)
