It's been five days since I started using my garlic bug spray to save my poor defenceless carrots, which you can read about here. My carrots are starting to fight back!
You see that little fuzzy bit?
That is a "new" carrot plant that the carrot has made to replace the leaves that were decimated. Most of my carrots have done this for themselves. To help them out a bit, I went through and cut off all the straggly bits, that way the carrots can concentrate on growing new leaves instead of trying to repair old ones.
I popped all those straggly, bug-eaten stems in the compost and gave all the little leaves a good spritzing with garlic spray.
Currently, my carrots look like this:
Which is much nicer than they did, but still a little sad. I know they'll come good, though.
Happy, ahh, carroting!

Progress most impressive in close-up. Well done! Now, we wait.
